I've been an educator for 26 years, having taught 7-8 grades and working as an administrator serving grades TK-8. I have served primarily in Title I schools with lots of experience with migrant, refugee, and English Learner populations. As an administrator I have lead school site and district efforts towards adopting curriculum, working with CDE to resolve district level audit findings, and calibration of standards for ELA, ELD and Math. I also serve in the US Navy Reserve and have done so for the past 22 years.
